v. 1 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, v. 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

REVELATION 19:10“The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”

ACTS 10:38 “Jesus went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for the Lord was with Him.”

TODAY we need to examine what the writer of the book of HEBREWS calls our attention to. HEBREWS 1:1-2:

V.1 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

NOTE: Verse 1 describes the Old Testament “walk in the office of the PROPHET” ..but I will only begin to scratch the surface today..but will dig in more deeply in PART 3 (tomorrow) onward…

“IN TIMES PAST” means: during the OLD TESTAMENT, which includes O.T. Levitical Law and Pre- Ten Commandments Times

MEANING: Back in Old Testament, Law days, when only a few chosen PERSONS heard from the Lord, could inquire of the Lord on behalf of His People..God used the many diverse major and minor Old Testament, roving, school of, rugged, unique major individuals to deliver the word of the Lord to the KING, to the NATION. The nature of the OT OFFICE OF THE PROPHETS was that of doing PROPHETIC ACTS, GIVING NATIONAL WORDS OF IMPENDING JUDGEMENT and assisting God’s NATIONAL, TEMPLE HIGH PRIEST NATIONAL LEADERS.

AMONG (merely a few) WELL KNOWN OLD TESTAMENT “SOLITARY MESSENGER” “ORACLE” NATIONAL OFFICE TRUE PROPHETS

“Walked about in 24/7/365 Real Time communicating BACK AND FORTH with the LORD…”He pleased God” (Hebrews 11:5) while still walking to a different heavenly Drum beat” :ENOCH (Genesis 4-5)

Kidnapped Youth, Babylonian Sent Messenger: DANIEL (He had a Bible book named after him, but if you read it…you can see what kind of PRICE, HIGH OFFICE PROPHET, young Daniel continually paid)

Led (and survived) through 80 −90 years of continual intense demonic big pressure; Enduring Baby sitter and Deliverer of 3 million whiners and chronic Me Centric complainers: “Ten Commandments Mountaintop Scribe” AKA “The Transformational Glory “GO TO” Guy” MOSES (Exodus 19-23)

First Hebrew national prophet: Hannah’s Baby Boy SAMUEL (I Samuel )

“Calling down fire” then Riding High in a Heavenly Chariot: Intrepid “Made for Signs and Wonders” ELIJAH (I Kings)

AKA Double Portion “Axe Head Floatin” ELISHA (2 Kings 6)

“Prophesying in a Kingdom Man’s World” …however it is recorded that they respected God’s Word through the earth suited “her” just as they did a man’s:”The mighty HULDAH (2 Kings 22, 2 Chronicles 34)

THIS secret sent STEALTH(?) messenger PROPHET delivered the somber message to ignorant HIGH PRIEST ELI ( that GOD was going to take down, and wipe out ELI’S whole office, family house and that NOBODY in his family would ever rise to hold HOLY TEMPLE OFFICE ever again. “The Glory has departed” “ICHABOD Pronouncer”…AKA A NAMELESS FACELESS SENT ORACLE MESSENGER (I Samuel) /strong>

…YET THEN.. after PROPHET MALACHI’s prophetic rebuke to the PRIESTS and LEADERS of God’s People… the Old Testament heavy revelational PROPHETIC OFFICE messages appear to dry up. WHERE IS THE MISSING NATIONAL ORACLE WELL?

(NOTE: we understand about the APOCRYPHA, yet that is not viewed as Bible canon..so we are allowed to voice this WONDERMENT)

THUS, following the BOOK OF MALACHI there are 400 SILENT YEARS OF SIGNIFICANT MINISTRY MYSTERY…..meaning 10 solid generations without any WORD GIVEN FROM THE LOVING LORD….

SO WHAT IS GOING ON IN GOD’S ETERNAL HEAVENLY CREATOR MIND?
