BIBLE VERSE FOCUS TODAY PSALM 138:6

BUT FIRST, for persons who have joined us late, please go back and review ALL OF THE FIRST 6 PSALM 138 BIBLE STUDY POSTS.

NEXT, to refresh our memories, the entire King David PSALM 138 entirely. Then we will expound upon VERSE 6.

KING DAVID’S PSALM 138 (with heavy hitter King Saul on his back)
1.I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
6 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

VERSE 6 EXPOUNDED:
WRITER ASIDE: if any of PSALM 138 pertains to the apostolic big season that we are in RIGHT NOW, I personally believe it is VERSE 6.

“THOUGH THE LORD BE HIGH…”
This conveys that the Lord is an Almighty God who truly has what many today refer to as a “a senior office Over Seer big position.

 

 

We can understand that GOD is the OVER SEER’S OVER SEER which infers to us, that WE clearly do NOT know it all AND thus we maybe ought to TURN TO HIM to get HIS valuable counsel, supernatural creative wisdom, etc.
AND “THOUGH THE LORD BE HIGH…” implies that GOD is always observing, accurately watches over US. And due to his High Office, Senior Overseer Management Big Position, God KNOWS a lot more than WE DO.

 
(Which maybe can help us to remove a lot of the PRESSURE we take on due to being a head pioneering leader.)

THEREFORE we should HONOR God and quietly meditate upon His high Position….doing so in a manner which demonstrates compliance, genuine, Godly dependency along with a true servant HUMILITY.

We are in need of God’s FAVOR just now, more than ever. And it is the SECRET to getting AHEAD.

“…YET HE HATH RESPECT FOR THE LOWLY..”

 

To clarify: the “lowly” implies (apostolically) “humble” yet does not paint a portrait of a person who is weak, cowardly, deeply insecure, “poor and pitiful” or some shaky Casper Milquetoast who whimp out when the actions, real problems, applied forces of pressure effect home, business or ministry headship.

God bends His ear down to pay attention to the MEEK,SERVANT PIONEERING PROPHETIC KINGS, who are NOT “afraid or weak.”

A true SERVANT of GOD who is “humble” will not avoid RISING UP and take Bible (nonaccusative) STAND, nor will they shy away from MANNING UP /LEADER HUMANING UP when that is business needed.

TIP: Everyone has a unique personality, DNA, so just ask the LORD to tell YOU what “meekness” “being humble is” according to how He and the Bible, direct your CONSCIENCE.

And pray that God will let a red flag buzzer go off down inside your heart when YOU re crossing the line from MEEKNESS into either WEAKNESS or TO FORCEFUL.
MEEKNESS does NOT mean that one has to submit to being a brown nosing, HUMAN PLEASER

NO, God has NO respect for the moral cowards who fall back when life seems to be UNFAIR or who are (HU)MAN PLEASERS who will placate many others just to get ahead…..or run,duck and cover to AVOID from doing what they know is pleasing to the Lord!

“……BUT THE PROUD HE KNOWS FROM AFAR OFF”

INDEED, God won’t respect SELF PLEASING by pleasing fellow HUMANS rather than being humble and being pleasing to the LORD FIRST.

God will keep a distance from the stubborn proud, even fearful types of persons who Man Please in order to SELF PROTECTION, because it is based in COMPROMISE and will hurt MANY OTHERS.

Besides, HUMAN /SELF PLEASING are rooted in superior PRIDE and base FEAR…which are definitely NOT “meek” but “emotionally, morally WEAK.”

ALSO we can define being “morally weak, overly self preserving, and morally AFRAID” as rooted in PRIDE which is “low down” rather than in a person acting “humble,Godly lowly.”

SOME “weak” leaders use human FORCE to apply pressure to make others conform or obey, to submit to them. SOME of them resort to abusive /controlling fits of rage, use of foul language, even in watching over their private lives (home, marriage, little children).

These types of people are weak as they do not have the power over their own SELF CONTROL and apparently run FROM seeking the help of God, even though the Bible states that it is FREELY AVAILABLE!

A PROUD PERSON will turn AWAY from the Lord, and REFUSE to seek the HELP of the LORD, the SELF GOVERNMENT (Galatians 5 fruit of SELF CONTROL) is a person who is PROUD and that brings us to repeat the last part of VERSE 6, again:
“……BUT THE PROUD HE KNOWS FROM AFAR OFF”

HOW MANY PEOPLE need God’s power to produce new business, find decent jobs, make their sales quota, to raise their ministry finances, to double or triple what they are presently making? (for all the BIBLE Ministry, Business real valid reasons)
VERSE 6 paints a clear picture of WHOM the Lord will pay close attention to WHEN they CRY OUT TO THE LORD.

HUMAN FEAR PLACES PRESSURE ON THE HUMAN FLESH and “STUFF”

Our Bible teaches “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind” Paul in 2 Timothy 1:7

MANIFESTS: Spiritual Fruit or Big Fallout (unless we truly submit to God)

STRESS EXAMPLE: If we get big pressure to perform, come up with the goods, as it were, then due to the FORCE of fear, pressure, we COULD mistakenly go over into what the Bible terms as “FLESH” and instead of turning to GOD for HIS supernatural wisdom, affirming PEACE and problem solving (non accusative) Big Game Plan….

……we might be tempted to use personality, applied pressure, striving, ungodly CONTROL, or deceptive, non honorable types of ministry/business things to DOMINATE (maintain OUR OWN HUMAN CONTROL OVER THE MATTER) rather than HUMBLY crying out to the LORD, making a list of all of our BURDENS, FEARS and WORRIES and handing them over to the Lord….

…..while allowing Him, to lead us as we resist the acute pressure while making forward true PROGRESS spiritually taking “God’s Kingdom Dominion.” (add to this prayer warriors, fellowship, praising, etc)

IN CONCLUSION:

MEEKNESS is supernatural strength to remain COOL under great human leader pressure: OUR OWN MORTAL SOUL REMAINS UNDER GOD’s (aka SELF ) CONTROL MEEKNESS is one manifestation of the HUMILITY.

AND PIONEERING LEADER/MINISTRY boldness, and HUMILITY are some KEYS to approaching the Lord.

HUMILITY, according to Psalm 138:6 is a KEY FACTOR getting the Lord to listen to YOUR prayer.

HUMILITY is a major secret in making sure that you are not doing anything that will block, or hinder the FAVOR of the Lord.

MEANING: this is NOT the time to be all wise, OVERLY self confident, OVERLY self /other reliant.

THIS IS An APOSTOLIC LEADER AMOS 3:7 TIME.

Yet it is also a Time of “I must decrease so that HE can increase.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And though this writer sounds like SHE is promoting PROSPERITY, she IS yet prophetic business kingdom marketplace, indeed pioneering senior ministry is NOT SIMPLY /ONLY ABOUT ” all of us being”GOAL ORIENTED for GAINING or WINNING “LEADER STUFF.”

IT IS ALSO is a Bible Christian calling to completely understand the WAYS, MEANS which the Heavenly Father wants to provide for us, our families, the things Called for from the Lord and then to save for our children’s children (Proverbs 13:22) ….but then to help HIS END TIME WORKS as well as the LOCAL “LEAST OF THESE” COMMUNITY.

PSALM 138:6 “Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.”

 

WHY THE WRITER FULLY BELIEVES THAT PSALM 138 :6 is very applicable to TODAY:

1. IT AFFIRMS that God has NEW RESOURCES, IDEAS but it is we who must APPROACH HIM to get them from Him, while on HIS terms

.
Amos 3:7 “God does nothing unless he first reveals it to His servants, the prophets.”

2. REASONS WHY? This earthly system is in the middle of birth pangs and the shaking of all that can be shaken: the economy, personal finances, families, ministry, etc.

So rather than modeling “When the going gets TOUGH, the tough get GOING.” (which can be a good word when NOT taken to extremes, as it COULD mean that the potential leader has turned overly tough, independent, and is now growing APART from the Lord.

 

“Renew your ‘organic’ First Love with HIM and with the someone God has given YOU.”

Rather let it be, “WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH TURN TO SEEK THE LORD” (which by the way is a sign of a leaders HUMILITY.)

TOO much time away from being in fellowship with the LORD (putting in a plug for a First Love Leader Lifestyle and Lamp stand) will allow YOU to be able to stay in TUNE with God’s supernatural “PERCEIVED and DISCERNED ” TRUE WISDOM (which needs to be balanced with ongoing Bible study)…

….rather than secular, mental REASONING, which is right now needed but NOT in a earthly way which chooses to become SELF dependent and overly (only) analytical which is hard, Greek Wisdom minded.

 
THE WORLD’S SECULAR /EARTHLY wisdom will slowly leave our “know-ers’ (inward perceiver, discerners of God’s “still small (perceived)voice” dulled way down. Add to this extra hurried busyness, many levels off stress, big FATIGUE and this will hammer in one’s spirit,conscience and emotional realm to resemble a person who SEEMS TO BE outwardly STRONG but who in way deep inside, overly weary and potentially WEAK.

“It’s the ‘relationship’ with the “money” not the “money” itself!

AND PSALM 138: 6 is similar to Mark 10:25 “it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to inherit the Kingdom of God.”

And my perspective on “BEING TOO RICH TO ENTER GOD’S KINGDOM:”

First, the Bible teaches that “the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness,peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Thus, very simply, very plainly, ANYONE who is too all knowing, too guarded, too wise and needing to be RIGHT in their own eyes, is NOT perceptive of what the BIble teaches is TRULY PROSPEROUS.**

**(being I Tim 6 Godly content, loving being righteous but not SELF RIGHTEOUS and having freedom from worry, anxiety (REST, SHALOM PEACE) and JOY (not meaning HAPPINESS, but a DEEP INNER JOY and GODLY CONTENTMENT).
The “overly tough hearted are hard minded” and many are so filled with pressure that they are RICH in maintaing their own form of CONTROL over a business, or IN COMPLETE CHARGE while still anxious, even pent up anger, big frustration which can tear apart their family or their health.

 

 

Thus “seeking first GOD’s KINGDOM” and it’s (safe, shalom, sane) RIGHTEOUSNESS and the FRUITS of the KINGDOM (Love, joy, peace patience, temperance, goodness, MEEKNESS) “and all of these other (leader, business, ministry, family) temporal , yet really needed THINGS “Will be added to YOU.”
