PART ONE:APOSTOLIC PSALM 123

FOUR LESSONS ON PRIDE

REAL PURPOSE.

Because every type of   GOD CREATED AND PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED human person’s HEART still remains  carnal..which will surface in ministry..or lay personal real life…and then come across as potentially  all knowing or meanspirited arrogant, clearly goody two shoes, cruel, snide sneaky competitive, envious, fully biased… and/or MANY OTHER inordinate chief displays.

 

INNER LEADER PRIDE comes out invisibly and spiritually/emotionally impure assaults, accuses, snubs or hides, avoids..maybe even practices sly cunning in order to USE another God formed real person. Hence this ongoing 4 part series.

NOTE I surely will admit to having “carnal innate tendencies” to assaulting human being real pride, however, it is surely UNINTENTIONAL…as this sincere but real human being person, continually turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and also (non self flagellating nor self accusing so self demeaning or with any known self righteous) ongoing, plus the She always has, to practice what is implied in both the Old and New Testaments “self humbling as unto the Lord (not into self righteousness) Most High.” And yes, once we accept Christ each one of our full out ornery chief sins are covered, by His Precious Sweet Sacrificed Blood…however, living in this natural carnal, very cruel world too many times EACH ONE OF YOU AND MY “human carnality” will surface..to it is THEN when we each want to self assess and either hide, avoid, be self righteous, haughty /rivalrous or else to lower each one of our Minister /elder, lay well thought out own selves and then TURN TO THE LORD

PSALM 123 KJV

Unto You I lift up my eyes,
O You who dwell in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the Lord our God,
Until He has mercy on us.

Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud. KJV

I have intentionally divided King David’s Psalm, PSALM 123, into two sections.

When God first opened this Psalm unto me, I was puzzled. I had regarded it as David simply humbling himself before supplicating to the Lord.

 

Yet, then it occurred to me that PART 1 was prophet, King David humbling himself before the Lord….however, the SECOND HALF was David retreating into the presence of the Lord due to his PERCEPTION and apostolic DISCERNMENT of the unyielding, trouble some, deeply opposing, even arrogantly adversarial,”other persons” false SPIRIT OF PRIDE.

PSALM 123 FIRST PART:
Unto You I lift up my eyes,
O You who dwell in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the Lord our God,
Until He has mercy on us.

POINT: Evidently there is some type of person, or even a big group of people, whose vain PRIDE is actually so thick that it is NOTICEABLE.

 

This strong accusative, unholy SPIRIT, spiritually EMANATED** directly toward, against, David, as it poured out from the other person’s own hardened, superior, Me Centered worldly unclean human spirit.

(**TO EMANATE means to protrude outward, directly toward/against David(or any other human being) which may NOT be noticeable to the persons who are not deeply perceptive and Spirit of God attuned.

By reading Psalm 123 FIRST PASSAGE, we note that King David has come to the Lord in deep prayer…due to both the natural and SPIRITUAL WARFARE against him.

SECOND HALF OF PSALM 123:
“Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.”

IN the second part of Psalm 123 we can understand that a human SOUL (mind, will, heart emotions) will be affected by what lies inside the HEART of another.

 

WHEN that other person, friend, family member, relative or ministry, has secret, intended to remain hidden (closet) arrogance, bitter envy, self righteous entitlement and/ or superior SELF….all of these may combine in NEGATIVE SPIRITUAL LIFE FORCE “PROTRUDING” from what lies deep inside their hidden hearts.

David, in Psalm 123, appears to be a (spiritual) war with a discernible SPIRITUAL PRESSURE which then places spiritual accusative, negative, hardened, opposing (spiritual) undue PRESSURE on his spiritually attuned, open, fully perceptive, pure leader heart.

 

SUPPOSEDLY King David has no exact vocabulary words with which to explain it, evidently his SPIRIT MAN/ PURE HEART can and does, as it apparently tried to distract leader David from the tasks at hand, and has rather drawn him to implore of the Lord.

POINT: The perceptive/discerning writer compares this with David “picking this spirit up” by his own spiritual Holy Spirit GIFTS of “strong spiritual discernment.” It is akin to what you and I may face in leadership, real life, today.

FURTHERMORE, just as often an opposing,legalistic, superior, even religious PRIDE will be intermingled with the accusing JEALOUSY.

The Bible teaches is “as cruel as the grave.”

“….. jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Song of Solomon 8:6

 

JEALOUSY, ACCUSATION are each about each one of us owning EACH of OUR personal choices.

EXAMPLE: ONE unloving person’s deeply insecure critical spirit sense the spirit of JEALOUSY starting to surface within….YET they actively CHOOSE not to go quickly repent or are unwilling to turn to the Lord to get needed help/strength to combat this.

 

INSTEAD, while they know what’s truly going on deep inside their own troubled accusing hearts, they will make the choice to remain in the CONTROL of their own fallen human nature versus getting God’s help to overcome (FREEDOM).

 

SO the envious, jealousy person may have a fit of accusing rage, all of this mingled in human flesh and angry, self centered superior pride.

 

HOWEVER, the innocent other party, who does not merit this ungodly attack, may FEEL the deep resistance of the other party and his/her clean SPIRIT might actually be able to FEEL IT: meaning to actually discern and to perceive it, feeling the “prickles” of the person’s dark accusative, argumentative, spiritual PRIDE.

 

The negative attack brings acute (hard to discern in the midst of the accusation /conflict..) mental, spiritual accusative pressure, emotional pain, rejection and /or even abuse.

POINT: WHETHER the person who directs this against the frustrated, innocent other person, may be absolutely in denial, this is due to the real reason: that this spiritual warfare attack stems from their human spirit. AND most jealous, angry, accusative, persons do not usually keep in touch with what is going on inside their own private human hearts. (II Timothy 2:23-26 KJV)

“… foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient; in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

 

AND THE PROPHET DANIEL says, however that God wanted to REVEAL secrets (Daniel 2:28) even to the unrighteous Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, which Daniel wrote about in Daniel 2 (see v 30)

spirit man to READ IT, “Pick it up” (“discern” also to “know in one’s spiritual knower”)…which then proceeds to apply uneasy pressure and deep unpleasantness….spiritually/ against him, internally)

SECOND PART OF PSALM 123
Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud. KJV

 

AGAIN: Prophetic King David is open to being buffeted (experiencing) by the unseen, but discerned, accusing SPIRIT OF SUPERIOR PRIDE.

 

The Psalmist writes” My SOUL IS FILLED with the scorning of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the pride.

“MY SOUL is filled”

Every human soul is made up of the MIND, FREE WILL and EMOTIONS…and each part of David’s SOUL could PICK UP/PERCEIVE the warring against, the attempt to block, the OPPOSITION of his SUPERIOR PROUD OPPONENTS ( AND /OR similarly for US in family members, relatives, supposed friends, work relationships, fellow ministers,etc)

 

The righteous David pays an extremely high price for walking in meekness and lowliness before the Lord, while at the same time repeatedly encountering this type of emotional, spiritual warfare.

 

AND WHAT makes prophetic King David not IMMUNE to “perceiving and intuitively knowing” that this type of wicked spiritual activity is taking place, is due to the reason that while David’s OPPONENTS are NOT spiritually attune due to their own mental toughness, hard heartedness and vulture like EGO PRODUCED SUPERIOR ENTITLED PRIDE is that King David really DOES practice maintaining a humble, open , tender, pure heart before the Lord. Instead David is spiritually sharp, deeply accurately perceptive and Holy Spirit quickened in discernment.

WISENED NATIONAL OT HEBREW PROPHET ISAIAH

THE BOOK OF ISAIAH 11:3 describes how the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ, would be made “quick in discernment” because He would “delight in the holy fear of the LORD.”

LESSON SUMMARY:

1. PRIDE is an attack, ungodly, protrusive direct spirit

 

2. While PRIDE may be discerned by those who are being attacked by it, the persons who possess it, use it to perpetrate, most of the time proceed to do this unaware.

 

3.Being accused, spiritually attacked by someone’s spirit of PRIDE is spiritually FELT, yet not fully understood by the RECEPIENT of the pride attack about what is fully going on.

 

4. Invisible pride proceeds out and causes others to PICK IT UP, and become HURT, DISTRACTED or CONDEMNED by this unholy attack, unloving devilish spirit.

 

5. And when there is no single human who is immune from being wounded by the spirit of pride, yet there is no single human who is able to NOT “radiate, to project” the fallen spirit of pride (at one time or another, with many given God’s unmerited mercy/grace to NOT have a large quantity of PRIDE when compared with others…

…..yet superior accusative human PRIDE is part of the fallen nature..and only by asking Jesus Christ to be Savior and Lord, can HE then give us HIS STRENGTH (over and in the big process of commitment and time) to with His help “OVERCOME.”

For the Bible teaches in Jeremiah 17:9, “the human heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?”**

**(SOUND SORT OF AWFUL? Rather, it is humbling and Jeremiah 17:9 IS VERY uplifting: in that that each individual human,leader or lay is simply an “equal opportunity chief sinner” unless given God’s MERCY through the power of the saving knowledge of Christ.)

NOT A SINGLE ONE OF US are exempt and none of us are immune..yet by going on our knees to the Lord, we can seek His help in this potentially enormous area.
