DISCERNMENT AND THE FEAR OF THE LORD

GOOD FRUIT COMES VIA RELATIONSHIP, RATHER THAN MAKING MINISTRY, BUSINESS, LAMPSTAND PROGRESS

“Yea,if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then thou shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:5 KJV

“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” Ten Commandments Exodus 20

SUPERNATURAL ACCURATE DISCERNMENT IS A FREE HOLY SPIRIT GIFT. Yet it is based upon Bible conditions.

TODAY we discuss the powerful discernment major KEY: the FEAR OF THE LORD.

THE APOSTOLIC MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST MODELED IT

ISAIAH 11:3, ” And shall make Him of QUICK UNDERSTANDING in the FEAR OF THE LORD. He will not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ear”

ISAIAH 11:3 expounded:
** AND (all the 7 Spirits of God mentioned in Isaiah 11: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord)

**”SHALL MAKE Him of QUICK UNDERSTANDING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD: (meaning fast in discerning past what things LOOKED LIKE on the surface, ministry leader intuitive)

** HE WILL NOT judge after the sight of His eyes…”
The Messiah Jesus would not accuse, criticize, make ministry decisions,evaluate persons based on their OUTER COURT (appearance, race, nation, size, income, education,gender)

**(Jesus also would) neither reprove after the hearing of His ears.”
**He would not accept,believe an evil report: He would not base his decisions on hearsay, gossip,tales, rumor or bias,prejudice.

SELAH: the abiding, awesome, reverential “FEAR OF THE LORD” enhanced Christ with FASTER HUMAN, PROBLEM SOLVING, RELATIONSHIP,BIG DECISIONS “perception and discernment.”

“DISCERNMENT COMES by reason of use.” (the more we practice, we grow in accuracy, ministry fine tuning. (and while attempting to grow in more precise discernment, may be over all IMPROVED…we still remain imperfect HUMANS and prone to make many mistakes. BUT whenever you fall off the discernment “horse” just get back on again.

AND we can each relax, knowing that only JESUS is perfect..and that “hearing from God clearly” (discerning, perceiving) ISN’T an exact prophetic science and is a grace granted FREE GIFT that one has to grow in, get Bible teaching/fellowship,hopefully even get mentored in to really make STABLE /emotionally MATURE, apostolic progress.

 

ROLE MODEL JESUS

**JESUS PRACTICED A FIRST LOVE ONGOING “RELATIONSHIP” OF GIVE AND TAKE/BACK AND FORTH alone with His Father.

** JESUS’ deeply insightful, accurate (prophetic/seerish) PERCEPTION was enhanced by His taking set time APART to meet with His Father in the Psalm 91 Secret Place of the Most High.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD: ONE MAJOR KEY in “accurate perception and skilled discernment
PROVERBS 1:7 states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of WISDOM.”

This implies that any minister or lay human person who does NOT have a “awesome holy fear of the Lord” will have instead have …..the LACK of ACCURATE, TRUE, SKILLED, DEEP HOLY SPIRIT APOSTOLIC WISDOM.

HOW ONE MAY GROW IN TRUE, GODLY WISDOM:
Proverbs 2:1-5. NOTE this states plainly that INCREASING in HOLY SPIRIT TRUE SPIRITUAL WISDOM is CONDITIONAL.

“My son, IF thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

IF you truly want, receive, accept by faith, GOD’S HOLY BIBLE words as valid, true and filled with supernatural eternal life transforming, wonder working POWER.

** IF you are diligent to accept them, submit to them internalize them as part of your deepest heart need.

“ So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;”

** IF you turn your inner mind/heart away from the secular world system mindsets and ways of human reason, judging, but allow God’s Words to guide, direct and renew your natural human mind…and ask God for HIS wisdom rather than natural human logical wisdom..

 

** IF you APPLY (it requires determination/effort and a lot of personal hard work) to press pass the outer hindrances, to seek the Lord and only HIS supernatural WISDOM (putting that quest FIRST)..

3 “Yea, IF thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;”

** IF the deepest level of your mind and heart,maybe even LITERALLY using your voice, to CRY OUT after MORE OF GOD’s realms, levels, ways, means of HIS KNOWLEDGE (not the world’s or your friends or even your own)

** IF you lift up your voice for UNDERSTANDING..admitting that YOU do not know it all, or how to handle all of life’s many questions…and that YOU truly understand the FATHER GOD DOES truly know and have all of the answers…”

(NOTE: this is all about the persons RELATIONSHIP crying out to, and waiting for God to RESPOND, to give back HIS own wisdom)

4 IF thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;”
**IF YOU truly desire GOD’S kind of wisdom even MORE than you want to MAKE MONEY (silver, gold, hidden treasure)

IF you sink as much hard work, sweat, effort and energy in going after God’s Holy SPIRIT FREE WISDOM, as YOU give to earning YOUR salary, getting daily bread…
THEN shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.”

 

**THEN shall truly know the LORD in a deeper, not only a surface “bless me, supplicating” method..but you will start to scratch the SURFACE of knowing not just ABOUT THE LORD but actually having a personal, ongoing RELATIONSHIP WITH, BACK AND FORTH, imparting, revealing, comforting,guiding, assisting in PERCEIVING and DISCERNING, sharp mature relationship. (Isaiah 11:3 made quicker)

CLOSING:
PSALM 115: 1-8 states how persons who follow after worldly IDOLS (example making MONEY, lust of other THINGS) OVER following hard after the LORD and maintaining a pure hearted ongoing (FIRST REAL LOVE) RELATIONSHIP with Him, can actually DECREASE in “fine tuned discernment and accurate perception.”

PSALM 115:1-8:
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:They have ears, but they hear

not: noses have they, but they smell not:They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they

walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.”

APOSTOLIC SELAH: The writer points out the big contrast of PSALM 115:1-8 with ATTAINING the “FEAR OF THE LORD” in PROVERBS 2:1-5

EMPATHY AND HUMAN COMPASSION FATIGUED, SLOW, EVEN SPIRITUALLY DULL OF DISCERNING PIONEERING LEADERS:
It leads directly toward ministers, leaders, lay whom the Bible names persons of “reprobate mind.”

BIG EXAMPLE: THE ELI HIGH PRIESTHOOD

I Samuel Eli and both his sons had become so full of SELF, EGO, human GREED, USERS of God’s own WOMEN, aka callous, so DULL and IMPERCEPTIVE, morally LICENTIOUS… that God sent them His messenger to tell Eli that HE was removing them all from the office ministry FOREVER….which He did. ( I Samuel 1-4)

AND in even in the ministry leadership WORLD today,we understand that not many are actually REPROBATE..still we find DANGEROUS ADVANCING WARNING SIGNS, as similar to the self over indulgent, lax, hurried, overworked,accusing, I Samuel Eli Compassion Fatigued Eli High Priesthood…

....we are now finding many in deep grass roots ministry, who exhibit similar signs like the ones described in the Book of I Samuel 1-4: even accusing senior ministers who bear twisted fallout rather than pure holy FRUIT…far TOO MANY of whom appear to have LOST their sharp, prophetic leader cutting DISCERNMENT/PERCEPTIVE edge.

“By their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:16
