RECYCLING AS A GOOD WITNESS TO THE REAL WORLD

“Go green along with Father God“

God made us to live in the natural human realm, not just ONLY in His Spirit.

If you listen to what the WORLD MEDIA is continually preaching, and to what the SCHOOLS, COLLEGES and BUSINESSES are touting…it’s urging all people to GO GREEN, GO “ORGANIC”…. and TCL agrees…up to a point.

TCL prefers to regard ANY “organic” “eco” actions in the following PREVENTION realistic MANNER.

1. God created us with the ability to use REASON and to make CHOICES.

2. He commanded us in Genesis, to “be fruitful and multiply.”

3. God left each one of us on “HIS” EARTH as partial stewards.

4.AND if the SECULAR WORLD is far more concerned about taking PREVENTIVE PRECAUTIONS, and the Body of Christ does NOT…then what does that truly SAY?

WHAT DFW LEADER MINISTRY FELLOWSHIP, THE ORGANIC LEADER and TAVEAU D’ARCY CREATIVE LEADERSHIP does NOT really want to do is to make any Christ Following “ECO” “GOING GREEN” following after the WORLD..but rather our only following the leading of the CREATOR and His silent Holy Spirit.

THEREFORE, TCL submits: “GO GREEN…along with FATHER GOD”

TOO MANY natural thinking (yet also mostly giving/ surely caring/(Earth Sharing/ completely honest)HUMAN PEOPLE many times pursue anything “ECO” and “GOING ORGANIC” so that it’s almost akin to following, often proselytizing another RELIGION.

And what is named a “religious spirit” can itself to ANYTHING VERY GOOD, even GREEN, HEALTH, EATING ONLY ORGANIC and WELLNESS, RECYCLING, COMPOSTING, TAKING MANY VITAMINS…

THUS a (religious spirit) part of “GOING GREEN” is NOT TCL‘s apostolic meaning.

SO….TCL is NOT advocating being in BONDAGE, feeling COMPELLED or going RELIGIOUS(and potentially turning SELF RIGHTEOUS)about ANY of the above…

….Yet if GOD is directing…simply do whatever HE SAYS…. but remain mindful how NATURAL TYPE (even GOOD) things can make us loose some of our ETERNAL, REALISTIC, RELATIONSHIP “being contented and satisfied” NATURAL HEART PEACE and JOY.

MY EXAMPLE: If you are like I once was, I hated the realistic thought of RECYCLING and using less STYROFOAM, PLASTIC BAGS and such…

...but it was when my dear realistic daughter, simply encouraged me to CHOOSE just ONE THING that would HELP ME HELP TO BETTER STEWARD God’s EARTH..and as the YOUNGER ,mostly NON CHURCHED, go for that the MOST..it sprang into my heart, that it can serve as A GOD THING:

HERE’S HOW

1) actually doing something proactive (even if it is in a simple, even micro fashion is PITCHING IN as HELPING all of the many OTHERS to UNITE in being GOD STEWARDS ….recycling, as it were “as unto the LORD” to show our gratitude.

2) It would be a potential GOOD WITNESS as a CHRIST FOLLOWER, CHURCH, MINISTRY….and would stimulate many kinds of community servant “outreach” projects.

AND AGAIN as a hugely super busy type person, I used to feel extremely PUT UPON at the thought of being required to do ONE MORE THING.

BUT the TOPIC of “RECYCLING” was and still is in the TV, online, MEDIA continually..yet at the same time all of the media HYPE made me first try to AVOID it might distract me and try to “suck me in.”

ALSO, the mere thought of me doing SO MUCH,as it appeared was “ongoing REQUIRED,” “to Make A Big Difference” seemed strongly overwhelming.

I used to feel that any effort I used my time and valuable energy on was far too SMALL to make any real difference.

AND add to this, at the very first, I did not know where to begin, even if I did want to start “being more organic/ecologically, planet aware/minded.

AGAIN, my beloved dear daughter, whom I call an “ECO GREEN” caring person, helped me to relief my feeling of being overwhelmed and at first clueless about how and where to begin.

I USED to drive around in the very hot DFW metroplex carrying a soft drink which I purchased, just before riding all around. (Aside:This was 4-5 years ago, and now I rarely drink soft drinks…GIVING GOD PRAISES..)

BUT when my dear daughter saw the number of plastic drink cups and their lids, she suggested that I should pick ONLY ONE “eco green” type thing to do on a regular consistent ongoing basis…and that would be to cut back on all of the plastic cups I was using.

Anyhow, I simply purchased one of those thick plastic REFILL MUGS and so I used it repeatedly RATHER THAN buying a new plastic cup /with top every single time. AND now trying to conserve unneeded PLASTIC and many other products, simply comes to me as second nature)

TO MINIMIZE some of the WORST (non-biodegradable lasting items) is my next “eco” suggestion.

Try NOT to use any STYROFOAM, be it cups, containers…and that is very HARD as many restaurants, fast foods, and other types of businesses use STYROFOAM.

AND if you can’t totally ELIMINATE it, then AVOID IT and ATTEMPT to at least CUT BACK and REUSE.

NEXT: try to buy a reusable GROCERY SACK. And now most stores pay you 5-6 cents for each bag YOU bring in to use. I like to picture each of the 5 cents going into a big SAVINGS ACCOUNT which is (at least in my mind) increasing in savings.

I often laugh and tell the grocery cashier that I am amassing my MILLIONS one recyclable GROCERY BAG at a TIME.

AND try to avoid using grocery, plastic BAGS whenever possible.

RECYCLE drink cans.

RECYCLE ANYTHING POSSIBLE…and….

IF you can’t RECYCLE, try to RE-USE as many times as is SAFE.
And all of this is nothing radical but common and very simple. It just takes getting STARTED and then forming a HABIT..

AND today I have made it a HABIT to avoid styrofoam, unless it is not possible…as in I am NOT HYPER about any of this.

AND I always take in my GROCERY BAGS, and when department store/any other shopping, I try to pass up taking a bag… IF it is at all possible.

 

AND I frankly now ENJOY “recycling” paper, cans, any other. It is a mental game and I know how it blesses my beloved daughter (an added extra).

I have a LOT in common with the YOUNG as it is a topic most of them very much ENJOY and also know a GREAT DEAL ABOUT…

So… please be in prayer about such.

WELLNESS EATING: HEART HEALTHY and ORGANIC
Again, while I am NOT going to go HYPER about eating like that, I do now truly ENJOY IT as it is COMMON SENSE to pick and choose what would MAINTAIN WELLNESS which also is “being a good steward of God’s TEMPLE” “our mortal leader body”

WELLNESS SABBATH TIME OFF
I now close with also putting in a WELLNESS PLUG regarding 1) removing our self apart from the work of the ministry/business to set aside QUANTITY and QUALITY Sabbath Apart time for R AND R and to pursue/really maintain a FIRST LOVE LIFESTYLE. God’s blessing is pronounced in Isaiah 56, notably verse 7)

WELLNESS PREVENTION: MOVEMENT
AND along with EATING PREVENTIVELY, I also strongly recommend vigorous movement, GETTING EXERCISE.

 

PS IF you sit for more than 1-2 hours it PAYS to stand up, walk and STRETCH…Reason: that the blood goes down to the ankles, where it just SITS until and unless we MOVE OUR LEGS which then allows the blood to move back up and to CIRCULATE.(told to me by a massage therapist).

TODAY even many YOUNG PEOPLE have recently died after sitting in front of video games for many hours at a time.

SEVERAL years ago, my daughter’s 40 year old high tech guru leader friend died from a blood clot for not rising up and getting away from his beloved computer.

I even bought a Brookstone massager to put my feet on, so that it will shake and circulate the blood, because I am so very long on the computer…AND of course I enjoy vigorous 3-4x every week (Zumba fitness) workouts! (in a wholesome, family type environment)

SO let’s all MOVE IT so we don’t LOSE IT.

And ask God for His ongoing MERCY and GRACE!

IN CLOSING

While I understand that the ECO SUGGESTIONS are very common and very very simple, if just a FEW READERS, who did not do anything before, grasp the extreme importance of what this new GENERATION regards as HIGHLY URGENTLY “PLANET SAVING” IMPORTANT..and it actually IS…(yet still not in jumping on the world system band wagon and FEAR sense) …

….but rather with regards to “showing signs of compassion, again GOOD STEWARD SHIP and GRATITUDE to the GOOD LORD…not to omit also, having even more in common with the ECO GREEN young and also the very many caring/compassionate /eco interested non Christ followers.

As the old pastor once stated “Little is MUCH when God is in it.”
