This Spirit of Prophecy ongoing leader study is open ended but for Bible teaching purposes to STIR UP YOUR THINKING to hopefully complement what God has already taught you about this expansive BIble subject.
TAVEAU CREATIVE LEADERSHIP SPIRIT OF PROPHECY BIBLE STUDY
- One of the main purposes of this Bible study on “the spirit of prophecy” is To bring this subject down to grass roots ministry levels. In order to do this, one must first demystify the words “spirit of prophecy, prophecy and prophet” in order to make each one far more understandable to those seated in the congregations, and not to mention, far less spooky or elite, to both minister and evangelistic lay person.
- Furthermore, the need will always remain for clear, balanced Bible based teaching and training on this free spiritual free, yet controversial spiritual gift: “the spirit of prophecy.“
The purpose of this Bible online study is to try to demystify and dethrone various popular religious stigma which have attached themselves even the mention of the words themselves.
Much like the A word “apostle” and the other P Word ” pastor” the other “P words” Prophet and Prophecy act like Red Flag Buzz words which trigger visceral reactions in many throughout the mostly overly well fed, very well educated mostly American western body.
We must not to fail to mention that all of God’s “good and perfect gifts” are continually targeted by demonic supernatural subversive powers which will always try to hinder or discourage their use through or else try to make pastors and lay persons afraid of ‘going off the deep end” or “getting flakey.”
And where ever God has ordained these totally free, supernatural gifts, the enemy, when left unguarded, tries to raise up false counterfeits (from occult, New Age) or to bear bad witness through some who say they move in these gifts, by their ignorance, lack of true humility or lack of self control.
The accompanying spiritual topics may or may not be addressed toward the end of this lengthy study: the role of paying the price for making Jesus Christ Lord and Savior, the real persuasive reason for real pure hearted spiritual oversight, when to use your own personal God given unique spiritual authority but when and if do you need another’s?
Q.What is the difference between prophecy, the New Age, Psychic? When can a prophetic Christian leave the God ordained spirit of prophecy and go over into the false realm of psychic or mind control?
Q.What is Christian VS Christian psychic spiritual warfare in Christ’s body? How can one remain “somewhat normal and be really real” while moving in the spiritual gifts? I want to address all of these and a great deal more, if God allows.
Rule of spiritual thumb: most often, the leadership or lack their of, is the one whom God holds responsible for the fruit in the congregation. This is the trickle down effect, both bad and very good.
Then, out in the ranks, including all leaders, junior ministers, it is very much of the time each of our own failure submit first to what God is saying in His Bible, then to the Holly Spirit, then to the head leader under whom God has sent us.
If the head leader is not under the proper spiritual authority, is not balanced by the pure Word of God (the Holy BIble) or has some giant ego need to fill, then all of this, even if Jesus is their Lord, will eventually trickle down and affect those they minister to.
It is up to the head spiritual leader to find those deeply mature, emotionally healthy, truly qualified, very stable men or women to practice spiritual, financial and personal accountability as well as to speak into their personal lives.
HERE WE BRIEFLY DEPART TO DISCUSS “SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY” as that topic is VERY BIG in ones who flow in the spirit of prophecy and if YOU have never been brought up around “apostolic covering” “Levitical patriarchalism /shepherding” and if that is very BIG in your local region, then YOU may be in for a big surprise, as that is part of the apostolic package in MOST “prophecy” self styled/Holy Ghost groups.
FOR THE SAKE of the ACUTELY SPIRITUAL COVERING CONSCIOUS we depart from the TOPIC to discuss it below:
FOR THE LEADER RECORD, NOW TCL, DFW LOF USE APOSTLE PAUL’S GALATIANS 1:1-2, which is based on personal self government and Holy Spirit lead ministry self control. BUT “there is safety in the abundance of MATURE counselors..) so many years ago, during the leader doctrine discovery years, God gave me grace to develop what TCL calls a PARACHUTE OF SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND MATURE PRAYER COVERING
1. The Bible teaches there is safety in a NUMBER of wise counselors (meaning God doesn’t want you to put your eggs in only one basket).
- Bible Scripture for this: “Do not put your trust in your neighbor, do not put your trust in a guide, not even in the one who lies beside you in the bed.” Micah 7:5 AND “Do not put your confidence in man/Do not put your confidence in princes” Psalm 118:9-10
2. Big PRINCIPLE: this ensures that if ONE of your pastor /minister wise advisors goes off the deep end, gets flakey, then YOU will still have the others to still turn to.
3. And nobody wants a DEPENDENT person, so if you have more than ONE LEADER, he/she can help you on ONE topic while another can answer your questions about ANOTHER..so pick anointed, proven experts in whatever OFFICE, FIELD in the SPIRIT is akin to YOUR OFFICE, FIELD of calling.
BUT…before doing that, it is URGENTLY IMPORTANT. that YOU Know WHO YOU are in God’s Spiritual realm of authority AND whom YOU are NOT.]
*PRAY, SEEK THE LORD, GET WISE COUNSEL FROM OTHERS.. and then ATTEMPT TO CLEARLY HEAR FROM THE LORD (perceive) when YOU need the authority of another versus when GOD and YOU are enough.
*NOBLE BEREAN examine, Bible study ALL Leader, Spiritual government, to makes SURE that there is no “Apostolic Back UNDER the Old Testament Law” in their “authority” in ministry house GOOD doctrines.
NOTE: This has been the way Taveau D’Arcy Ministries has operated since 1990’s due to the often odd, extreme, demonically oppressive and authoritarian CONTROLLING Legalistic “covering” human made adulterated leader , very unhealthy, (triggering leader accusation and Pharisee always other watching) primarily grass roots doctrines.
*FIND mature, emotionally healthy, direct, accepting, FULLY RESPECTFUL Bible offices whom GOD SPECIFICALLY TELLS YOU to ALLOW to speak into YOUR life and ministry.
*TRY TO to guarantee that the persons YOU PICK are experienced,honorable, truthful, Bible believers, have true mantles of authority and that they are GOD CHOSEN to have a lot of influence in your (only)life
BE AWARE that they ought to be MORE EXPERIENCED in their own field that YOU are and able to pray, perceive the Mind of the Lord on your behalf, while at the same time NOT controlling or too willful, steeped in legalism or human tradition. ,
I ALWAYS LIKE it when God send me His Divine connections: A JUMP START RELATIONSHIP….which is similar to pregnant Elizabeth, who was still carrying JOHN THE BAPTIST in her womb, when MARY came to the door. (she was carrying JESUS at that time)..When MARY came up, the HOLY SPIRIT DNA/anointing caused ELIZABETH’S SPIRIT to “leap within her.”
FRANKLY…..It is a BIG BLESSING when you have spiritual advisors, mature board who have a similar SPIRITUAL DNA which helps them discern God’s call on YOU and YOU feel imparted to, encouraged for YOU see something of yourself in them.
PICK the discerning, wise counsel who will are not afraid to tell you the whole Truth..and who will not mince words…but who also will not ACCUSE or ATTACK YOU (my own words “WON’T EVER KILL YOU”) if you and they do not agree on some important things.
Make SURE you hear from the LORD as not ALL who say they are “spiritual fathers, apostolic covering, etc” have the same integrity, emotional maturity, dependability or GENUINE REAL LOVE.
IF they you, you and they, they are married, try to gauge to ensure that THEY are TRULY COMMITTED to be purely faithful in their marriage covenant. My Own personal belief: I ever feel any “wrong signs of emotional connection/chemistry” I do not continue on with that person.
ASK God for a “EUNUCH” (one who is the SPIRITUAL DNA but no PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL attraction.)
HAVE ZERO “FEAR OF MAN” (Human Pleasing) Rather DEPEND UPON THE LORD “Fear of man brings a snare “Proverbs 29:25
RECOGNIZE LEGALISM VS “Freedom in the things of Christ” by reading EPHESIANS 4: COMMON DOCTRINES
BE COMPLETELY AWARE OF CIRCULATING PET THEOLOGY, PASSING MINISTRY LEADER TRENDS, FADS: Do not fall for just anyone’s apostolic Kool Aide. This means to beware of completely all passing covering, spiritual authority LEGALISM, RELIGIOUS WINDS OF DOCTRINE and TV/MEDIA POPULAR PEER GROUP HIGH PRESSURE (at Boanerge AKA Keeping Up with the Ministry Joneses, mostly local Grass Roots, “where they are not surrounded by handlers” type level)
