HOW TO GET A SONG FROM THE LORD

The Lord wants to send His Word in song to people. He uses the Bible, the spoken word and the word in song.
God wants to release new music to accompany each new move of His Holy Spirit.
He blesses the creative saints by giving them songs.
Each song is meant to be a message. Each song is designed to build up someone, even if it is the songwriter.
Each true song given by the Lord is like an arrow. Each song carries a message directly to someone’s heart.
The Lord is not blessing men and women with songs just to make them a famous songwriter.
Each song from the Lord has a mission.
Perhaps the mission is just to give something to bless and enjoy. Some songs edify, encourage, teach or witness.
Here’s how to get the Lord to give you a song:
Simply, pray and ask the Lord to start to give you some songs.
Rest and pray and wait on the Holy Spirit.
Remain patient until He gives you either some words, a tune or a picture.
God does not always give you an entire song at once.
Be faithful and jot down what ever the Lord gives you.
When you are faithful with a little, He will bless you with more.
Pray that the creative “gift within you” is stirred up.
Get into the presence of the Lord.
Sometimes praying in the spirit is helpful.
Another way of getting a song is to sit prayerfully before the Lord.
Put on a recorder.
Play as unto the Lord and record whatever comes out.
Keep what you feel is anointed.**
