“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them (wives) ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.” I PETER 3:7

Submitted: in Bible teaching authority, passed down tradition: Where the legally married husband accepts Jesus Christ as Savior, then makes the personal choice to abide by His Holy Bible Word.
In this case I Peter 3:7 in which we discuss “each husband DWELLING WITH THEIR WIFE ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE”

Aside: in another posting I address other point on this often misunderstood verse (“discuss the weaker vessel ” )

POINTS: All “born again” husbands understand that the wife does not come with an instruction manual. Hence there must be a decision to want to study her likes, her dislikes, how to please her, what ticks her off. In effect to always GROW.

And in will only be for the husbands good and make the marriage healthy lively and fulfilling…because it won’t be one-sided, as females usually try to adjust and please.

ABSOLUTELY GONE the mistaken thinking “I pursued her, and I won her, caught her….so , now I don’t have to work at growing, keeping her interested, “being really there” it anymore”

2. Both human wedded persons will change, grow and it behooves the wedded man not to sit back on his laurels, believing that he never has to grow, to change and to keep devested in the wife, to be able to keep on ‘Dwelling according to knowledge” Hint: Want to keep investing, tweaking and making needed positive changes ..to keep nurturing, for the long haul.
