PART 2 PROPHETIC KINGDOM MARKET PLACE BUSINESS PSALM 138:2

Today we will continue expounding on the word of the Lord taken from Pioneering King David’s Psalm 138:2.

 

We remind YOU to read the prior blog for our Bible study for PSALM 138:1 AND sharing our reasons for picking THIS Psalm as a “word” to those in prophetic Kingdom business market place and in ministry.

 

The following is the ENTIRE PSALM 138 KJV, Then the V. 2 expounding,will follow

“I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

 

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

 

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.

Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

 

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, OLord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”

PSALM 138:2 MARKET PLACE BUSINESS WORD

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”

 

“I” will worship: The prophetic business KING has his heart, soul, and whole MIND aligned with the MAKER of all lesser kings: The Maker of Heaven and Earth. There is NO false pretense as David goes in before the Lord. He is not playing around. King Davide really means DOING BUSINESS!

 

“toward your holy temple.” David understood that he might be anywhere in the nation, whether at rest in the comforts of his mighty PALACE or hiding out in a cave from his adversaries.

 

 

Though God is OMNIPOTENT and abides EVERYWHERE, David recalls the temple where he habitually worshipped, as he evidently had many comforting, reassuring and strengthening time there.

 

Perhaps He fondly recalls the PEACE and REST of the spirit of God there, and that right now, as he may have been facing deaths door or enormous big national PROBLEMS, King David KNEW His God well enough to recall the Secret Place of the Most High ,about which he had written in Psalm 91, but which David also knew as a perceived place in the spirit, which is INTANGIBLE yet easily PORTABLE ,as it is carried in one’s heart /mind and spirit: FROM DEEP WITHIN.

 

“(I will) …..praise thy name…”

Certainly in the midst of all of David’s leader heightened PRESSURES, even at times while ON the battlefield, he would push past all of the big fears, dark presences, and the big BURDENS to get into the presence of the LORD (the Psalm 91 Secret Place) (“his (and our) portable battle field temple away from the temple??)

 

AND King David most likely gave God a “SACRIFICE OF PRAISE” an act of WILL and BIG APPLIED FAITH, but a choice based on God’s proven life long RELIABILITY, in times past, and long gone.

 

Way before prophetic King David composed THIS Psalm 138, he had already met the LORD in a deep way that allowed HIM to connect with the LORD spiritually during times of giving PRAISE.

 

For in Psalm 22:3 David writes, “God inhabits the praises of His people.”

 

 

“(I will worship…….and praise thy name )for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth. “

 

David the psalmist had had MANY experiences with the Lord, dating far back to when he was the shepherd boy watching the sheep.

 

Alone in the field, minding the sheep, he evidently had a lot of time on his hands and it left his MIND free to dwell on the beauty of nature, the mysteries of GOD and then to develop an inward “PERCEIVER” “DISCERNER” inward God given spiritual DNA (a spiritual gift, which is what EVERY person called to walk in the office of the prophet will EVENTUALLY have.

 

Yet while David surely began knowing God, learning about perceiving when He was nigh, clearly he was not fully in maturely fine tuned,as no young leader ever is (and even when fully grown ,we are never certain of being 100 accurate)

 

Thus all throughout David’s big, surely interesting, dangerous and complex with MANY big complex ongoing PROBLEMS, God used each and every one to cause David to rely more and more on HIM, but then as David YIELDED, every very slowly God matured David, and David grew to know much more close to the LORD and far more accurate in hearing FROM His GOD.

 

To summarize: While the Prophet/Priest and actual ruling prophetic KING DAVID was working, involved in many major local kingdom BATTLES, /undergoing many accuser attacks starting with being overlooked by His father (when Prophet Samuel examined his 5 older brothers in the search for a potential future KING), and as King Saul grew more and more envious,trying to kill him, later spiritual warfare hit King David’s family: his wife Micah was supremely enraged toward him after David embarrassed HER dancing before the Lord in linen ephod. AND his own son,Absalom tried to undermine his entire KINGDOM in a mutiny.

 

HOWEVER, all of this allowed David to see how much God LOVED HIM as he was never ever permanently DEFEATED (other than when HE allowed HMSELF to fall into grave leader sin).

 

THUS as David repeatedly witnessed the up close and personal GREAT GRANTED GRACE which was given to HIM from the LORD, it then showed David spiritual fruit of the Lord’s LOVING KINDNESS (verse 2) and God’s TRUTH (that HE really would respond, would actually forgive David unconditionally, and save, strengthen and PROTECT King David from ALL of his (very many) ENEMIES.

 

AND THIS is why David thanked, honored and celebrated’ both God’s LOVINGKINDNESS and His TRUTH in Psalm 138:2: He knew both the free GRACE and the MERCIFUL GOODNESS OF the LORD in both SPIRIT and in TRUTH…and that no matter what ever happened in David’s leader/personal LIFE, that HIS GOD would never ever leave him or forsake him OR let him go DOWN!

 

“….for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”

Here’s a little Hebrew non-lesson.

The word MAGNIFIED (gadal) translates “to cause to grow up, to become great, to be magnified.”

 

The word “WORD” (imrah) is translated to mean (God’s) utterance, speech or word. It also may be translated The TORAH (the first 5 books of the Old Testament, which were the only Holy Scriptures available to the king way back then.

The word “NAME” (shem) translates:
1. name
2. reputation, fame, glory
3. the Name (as designation of God)
4. memorial, monument

This means that the WORD of the LORD found in the Bible Scriptures (and because we Christians now live in the New Testament nonlegalistic days,we need to apply the term “WORD” as applying to BOTH the Old and the New Testaments.

 

AND interesting to note, that while the New Testament book of Philippians 2:9-12 in tells us ,”That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things above in heaven, on the earth and beneath the earth, AND every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

 

To the writer, this witnesses that while JESUS is the “name above every names” that God’s places His Holy Bible scripture WORD even above the name of JESUS.” Yet, dear Reader, do not be alarmed: because in the Book of JOHN, Jesus Christ is described as THE WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH, check just beneath:

 

JOHN 1:1
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

The Bible then states the spiritual fruit invested in God’s mysterious, not one bite spooky, but supernatural power building BIBLE WORD. We’ll close with these well known Bible scriptures about the power of God invested (if we mingle them with our FAITH)

 

Read Hebrews 4:2b:
“….but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Hebrews 4:12-14 describes God’s supernatural POWER that is invested in His Holy Bible promises:

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Isaiah 55:11

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

 

PLEASE keep reviewing each of the Scriptures. Claim them for yourself, BUT make SURE to ‘mingle them with YOUR positive FAITH’/ Prophetically DECLARE THEM( again: must be mingled with true hope and real FAITH”
